Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Endorses Councilmember David Ryu's Re-Election Campaign
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Following the recent announcement of several high profile endorsements for his re-election campaign, today Councilmember David Ryu announced that he has secured the endorsement of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
“David has been a tremendous champion for the people of Council District Four,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said. “As Mayor and as one of his constituents, I have seen David deliver on the basics, like parks and street paving, and lead on our toughest challenges, like homelessness. I am proud to call David my colleague and my Councilman, and I am excited to endorse him for re-election."
“Mayor Eric Garcetti has been a leader on the critical issues facing Los Angeles, and I am proud to have his endorsement,” Councilmember David Ryu said. “In addition to championing the passage of Proposition HHH and Measure H, he has fought to bring more transportation, infrastructure and public safety investments to Council District Four and Los Angeles. I am committed to working with Mayor Garcetti to continue to move Los Angeles forward in my next term.”
The announcement of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s endorsement is the most recent in a series of important endorsements for Councilmember Ryu, including from 200 grassroots community leaders, a group of state legislators, County elected officials and local labor unions.
