Congressman Adam Schiff Endorses David Ryu’s Re-Election Bid
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Just days after announcing the endorsement of the Democratic Party, today Councilmember David Ryu announced that Congressman Adam Schiff has endorsed his bid for re-election.
"I'm proud to endorse David Ryu for re-election. David has shown real leadership by taking on difficult issues like homelessness and climate change. Just as important, he's also a great partner and is always willing to work closely with other levels of government to find solutions,” Congressman Adam Schiff said.
“I am so honored to receive Congressman Adam Schiff’s endorsement,” said Councilmember Ryu. “For nearly two decades, Congressman Schiff has been the champion of many Council District Four constituents in Congress. Alongside his critical work on national security, Congressman Schiff has been an effective advocate for growing a sustainable economy, fighting for quality public education, and so much more. I look to leaders like Congressman Adam Schiff to steer our Democracy in the right direction, and work with local partners to move Los Angeles forward.”
In the past month since he announced his re-election, Councilmember Ryu has received a set of powerful endorsements to bolster his campaign. So far, Councilmember Ryu, has announced endorsements from 200 grassroots community leaders, Planned Parenthood & dozens of women leaders, the Democratic Party & local Democratic organizations, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, state legislators, County elected officials and local labor unions. Yesterday, Councilmember Ryu rolled out his second digital ad in his re-election bid.
